Soil Fertility and Climate Change
Fertile soil nurtures us. The foundation for our food
How are we treating the ground we walk on every day? As an object of speculation, with chemical fertilizers and pesticides, through compaction, through erosion and humus depletion?
We from Demeter see ground as something that is alive. Humus formation is essential for good plant growth and simultaneously reduces CO2 in the atmosphere. Biodynamic methods are in tune with nature and provide the perfect agricultural solution in times of climate change.
And that’s how we treat our precious soil with respect, nurture and care for it: with cow manure – not with chemicals. Also, we use biodynamic preparations to support metabolic processes in the soil.
Every farmer helps caring for our ground – the foundation for strong and healthy plants. For good food on our table.
